New Year, New Read!
Currently reading all about the gentleman who was known as the first celebrity hairstylist, Kenneth! (Probably why I spent New Years Day tackling my own balayage touch-up! Video coming soon!)

Following this newly liberated hair was the conception of geometric cuts by Vidal Sassoon.
Sassoon’s revolutionary cuts met fashion designer Mary Quant’s mini skirts, and the rest is history. Sassoon’s emphasis on home hair care as well as wash and wear further evolved the industry to what it is today.

Kenneth Battelle, Vidal Sassoon, and Mary Quant are some of my personal heroes and this book is so insightful. A must read for any hairstylist or beauty enthusiast out there! If you like vintage at all, you’ll love this read as well. 📖 📚
Do you see beauty/hair as fashion or do you feel they are completely different realms? Why or why not?
