Podcast Moment: About a Girl

Hello Friend,

How are you? How is your start to summer shaping up?

I’m in the middle of finals, and taking a quick study break because I recently discovered the most incomparable gem of a podcast, that I simply MUST share with you!

I stumbled upon the About a Girl Podcast while driving home from a Hungry Hipsters internship day in Los Angeles, and I cannot even begin to explain how captivating it is!

(Blog only sneak peek: I’ll be posting a day in my life as a Hungry Hipsters intern very soon! Keep your eyes peeled over on Instagram and Tik Tok!)

Time flies while listening to About a Girl. Written and narrated by Eleanor Wells, alongside her co-narrator Nikki Lynette, the About a Girl Podcast features legendary stories of the trailblazing women behind some of the most iconic moments in music history. These extraordinary women were inimitable forces in the creative processes of their male counterparts who often received little credit. About a Girl spotlights these remarkable women and takes you on riveting audio adventures recounting their distinct biographies.

From Linda and Paul McCartney to Faith Evans and Biggie Smalls, there is a music moment for everyone. I enjoyed the episodes featuring Marianne Faithfull, Janis Gaye, Pamela Courson (Morrison), and Rita Marley. I can’t wait to listen to more and hope you will listen too!

Have you listened to the About a Girl Podcast yet? If you have, what’s your favorite episode? If you haven't, which one will you tune into first?

Season 3 of About a Girl is dropping soon, so there’s no time like the present to give it a try. I’d really love to hear About a Girl’s version of Pattie Boyd and George Harrison’s life together. (Pattie is the ultimate rock and roll muse.) Who would you like to hear more of?

I sincerely hope that you and your loved ones are doing well and taking care of one another. Comment or reach out on socials to stay in touch!

With love,

Victoria+Alpha
