OOTD: Beatles HELP! Inspired Ensemble

Have you seen The Beatles film, HELP!? If you have, you may recall a cute little number where the Fab Four are taking in a scenic mountainside full of skiing, curling, and song (of course). If you haven’t, then definitely take a wander to Google or whichever search engine you prefer, and look up the movie. The primary visuals used for their album of the same name depict The Beatles wearing said wintery costumes. I have always adored the aesthetic of this entire film, especially these scenes. When I was thrifting in Calgary, Alberta a couple of years ago, I came across a wool cape that reminded me of the jackets that they wore. I pieced together an outerwear ensemble that I have loved for years. In fact, I have owned the cape for at least five years now. This is the first time that I have taken photos with the outfit on, and I hope that you enjoy it. I often switch up the hat every now and then, I have a beret (pictured below) or a cap (see on my instagram) when I want to go even more sixties mod. As always, with vintage I believe more is more… What are your thoughts on vintage styling? Do you have items in your closet that have defied current trends as main stays in your wardrobe?
