Quarantine Beauty Favourites

I have been maintaining every aspect of my beauty routine since the quarantine started, and it really may not return to what it once was. I have found it incredibly liberating to apply gel polish with an LED light, create the perfect nail shape, tone my balayage, or brush up a nice clean brow all on my own! I think my beauty rituals have offered a lot of serenity and peace in an often anxious time; I definitely understand how self care and wellness have paired so well for so many people! As previously stated, I highlighted a couple of these beauty related goodies in my latest Youtube 5k giveaway video! 3. Murad Environmental Shield Essential-C Day Moisture Broad Spectrum SPF 30 PA+++
Oh my goodness, this Murad SPF is the holy grail of SPF moisturizers. Lightweight and breathable, I like to mix this SPF with my regular day creme for maximum results. 4. Murad Hydration Prebiotic 4-in-1 Multicleanser
This is another beauty product that I briefly spoke about in my most recent Youtube video. I have stopped using makeup wipes, so this product has been my go-to for removing cosmetics before bed. Two pumps and your makeup will be herstory! Seriously, if you’re looking to cut down on waste from wipes, I highly suggest trying this product! Have you stopped using makeup wipes yet? 5. Benefit Cosmetics ‘the Porefessional’ Hydrate Primer
With the lockdown, most of us are not wearing as much makeup as we used to. This hydrating primer from Benefit Cosmetics is perfect for this new normal because it adds a naturally dewy effect to the skin without foundation. You can wear it alone or as a primer for your makeup! You should definitely give it a try without makeup, it really perfects the skin and gives an all day dewy vibe. I call it beach babe skin!
6. Nature’s Bounty Hair, Skin, & Nails Argan Oil Infused Vitamins
This product helped save my hair. When I first moved out to California, my hair was fried. Literally toasted, I had been experimenting with red tones and was lucky to have left the salon with as much hair as I did. Red tones can be very damaging, especially if you’re trying to maintain it every single month. When I finally found the bravery to cut away all the dead ends, I started using these vitamins from Nature’s Bounty and haven’t looked back. My hair texture has returned, my nails are stronger, and my skin seems brighter when I am consuming these vitamins regularly. I often take a two week break from consuming them, as to give my system a reset. Have you tried any hair, skin, and nail supplements? What about collagen peptides? We really can have salon quality nails at home. I said it long before the lockdown in my student budget post, and I will continue to say it! Press-on nails ARE. THE. WAVE! They have come such a long way from the eighties and nineties! Press on nails last as long as a salon set when applied correctly, and they have every shape imaginable, so if you’ve ever wanted to try a nail shape you finally can without any inconvenience! I have been LOVING the Rebecca Minkoff collection from Impress because of how luxurious and stylish they are. Have you tried any at home nail kits, press on nails, or stickers since being at home? What about gel polish or even a good old fashioned manicure? One of my best friends and I have broken out the gel polish in-between using press-on nails. Who needs a nail salon anymore?! Not us!!
8. Marley’s Monsters Reusable Cotton Rounds
Cotton rounds are the one product that I will no longer buy. Never ever! After trying Marley’s Monsters reusable rounds and washing them in their laundry bag, you too will feel compelled to kick buying cotton rounds! What products are you no longer purchasing? 9. Elemis Dynamic Resurfacing Facial Pads
Are you looking for pores that look smaller and tighter? How about brightened skin that glows with or without makeup? Then you certainly need this Elemis skincare product in your life! 11. Essie Gel Polish in Sugar Daddy
Do you have an LED gel light at home? Is it at the top of your quarantine must-have list? Samesies. I had to pick one up immediately, and this Essie gel polish has been my go-to! It is a soft pink-nude colour that pairs well with any ensemble. Natural and delicate! I love the press-on nails but sometimes all a girl wants is a fresh gel mani! What’s your favourite way to polish your nails?
12. Joico Colour Balance Blue Shampoo
If you are a brunette with a balayage this shampoo is for you, it’s honestly like a salon toner in a bottle! If you have any golden tones in your hair, or maybe something a little too warm (re: brassy) then try this Joico product out. Wash twice, and with the second shampoo leave it on for five minutes or so, you will love the results! How do you maintain your colour treated hair at home?
